Leaving the Malcomson Farm, we motored a huge 50km up the highway to 'Gootchie Creek Escape' - a farm stay situated about 1.5 km off the A1.
Gootchie Creek is a 600 acre cattle property which has opened its gates to the traveling public seeking some some bush tranquility. There is plenty of room here for hundreds of campers at a time - the place is massive with little billabongs scattered around the place. The four legged lawn mowers wandered around for the whole time keeping the grass down.
When we rocked up, we were overwhelmed with the choice of sites. We chose a spot on the opposite side of the waterhole from a few other campers.
This place is so peaceful - R & R at its fullest.
We spent 2 days/nights here. Between nanny naps and time spent doing absolutely nothing, I found plenty of subjects at which to point my camera.
These are a few of my favourites.
We'll definitely be back at some time in the future.
I'll also upload a 'Gootchie Creek' video to our YT channel in the near future.
