Since previous post, we parted ways with Damien, Adri and the boys. We said our goodbyes and they continued their homeward journey. We changed course and veered a little north but west and parked up for a couple of nights at Tumut - Riverglades Caravan Park.
Today, we took a drive to further explore parts of Kosciuszko National Park.
First stop - Blue Waterholes and Clarke Gorge. The vistas of the wide open sweeping plains, make for a pleasant drive. There are so many great campgrounds throughout the park, if we ever get back this way, we'll sample a few of them I reckon.

We visited a few points of interest - 19th century Coolamine Homestead, a couple of sites of the mighty Snowy Hydro Scheme in Blowering Power Station and Tumut 3 Power Station. Took a diversion though the loop circuit to Yerrangabilly Caves. Caves aren't really our thing but we still enjoyed the drive down through the valley. This area was devastated by the 2019 bushfires, while recovery is evident, it's still showing the scars of the devastation. |
