Days 9/10 - 2nd/3rd May 2012
For the last 2 days, we've been pulled up at Workman's Beach camping ground on the outskirts of Agnes Water.  The camping ground is a nice little spot run by the Gladstone Council.  Done nothing but chill out and have a look around the place.  1770 is a small settlement to the north of here about 6 km.  It's not really what I expected in that it is basically a pub, marina, caravan park, beach and some place for the rich people to build holiday homes perched on prime real estate overlooking the ocean.  The camping ground seems to be a regular haunt for some old fellas from Bundy and Gladstone.  The old fellow next door comes here from Bundy when work is a bit slack.  He's a self employed concrete renderer.  He says the industry is as slow as he's ever seen it.  Nice old fella.  We invited him and another bloke over for some damper for lunch and a chat.
Sunset over the beach yesterday afternoon.
