Leaving Devonport, we only traveled 40 km to our overnight free camp stopover.
We pulled up stumps at a place called Midway Point - Sulphur Creek. A small place, home to about 630 residents.
The campsite is right on the beach and when we arrived at about 0930, there were about 25 vans and motorhomes already there. Some of them left throughout the day and newbies rolled in by day's end.
Oddly, the RV park and the beach are separated by a railway line. The line runs along the coast - and I mean on the coastline.
We took the opportunity in the pm, to have a bit of a look around Burnie and surrounds. Burnie is only about 15km to the NW of our campsite.
